If you haven’t heard by now, Jimmy Clausen got punched on Sunday. The Notre Dame QB was allegedly punched “by a fan.” The details are hazy and there are conflicting reports about the incident.
The one thing we can confirm is that Clausen has “at least” one black eye. Clausen backed that up by wearing a tinted visor (below) to practice on Tuesday to hide the wound(s). According to a post on SPORTSbyBROOKS, Clausen was punched after leaving dinner with his parents. The Big Lead contends that Clausen was punched at 2:30AM on Sunday morning outside of a South Bend bar called CJ’s. Their source also says that he suffered TWO black eyes. Ouch.
I’m going to venture a guess that the 2:30 AM bar story is the truth. If he was actually at dinner, I doubt he’d be there at 2:30 AM as reported. It’s also hard to believe that the first reports of the incident came late Monday night if this actually happened on Saturday night with his parents. Though CJ’s Pub serves food, it’s also a dive bar.
One has to wonder if this will seriously affect Clausen’s decision to go pro. He may not have Charlie Weis along with some of his offensive weapons. And now he also knows that “fans” hate him.

If we don't know who punched him, then how do we know that idiot was a Notre Dame fan?
If he was and the next question: How did you determine Notre Dame fans hate Jimmy Clausen?
One fan, if indeed he was a Notre Dame fan doesn't represent the entire fan base.
Try to guess why "fans" was in quotes. Also, fan is short for fanatic. There's a reason for that. And, in any case, I'm sure more than one person who claims to be a fan of Notre Dame wants to punch Jimmy Clausen in the face. Sweet logic puzzle though, dawg.
