TEXAS TECH’S MIKE LEACH SUSPENDS CAPTAIN

Big 12 Football

Brandon Carter is a colorful character

Things are not going well in Lubbock. After Texas beat Texas Tech in Austin, they lost a heartbreaker to Houston. The Tech players were buzzing on twitter after the Houston loss. Senior linebacker Marlon Williams and Brandon Carter were the most vocal. On Sunday, Williams even took a shot at Mike Leach’s punctuality:

“Wondering why I’m still in this meeting room when the head coach can’t even be on time to his on (sic) meeting.”

Brandon Carter was less direct on his twitter account, which has since been deleted. Carter, a second team AP All-American in 2008, tweeted that he was stripped of his captaincy and suspended for the next game. Texas Tech’s PR rep said on Sunday that the former team captain was suspended indefinitely.

If Williams was more direct in his comments, why is he not suspended. Tech says Carter broke team rules. What rules? Tweeting about the coach?
