POTUS Barack Obama was at the Major League Baseball All Star Game in St. Louis last night. He sat in with Joe Buck and Tim McCarver for about a half-inning. In case you weren’t watching the snooze fest, we’ve posted the video below via Real Clear Sports.
Obama also threw out the ceremonial first pitch before the game. You know… after about a 45 minute introduction process all narrated by Joe Buck. Thanks, FOX. Obama kind of lobbed it short of Albert Pujols who had to stand up and scoop it. But you wouldn’t have known that if you watched it live. The FOX cameraman was sitting right next to the mound and barely had Pujols in the shot. They actually didn’t even get the CATCH on camera. Here’s are a few frames from his pitch:

Barack didn’t bounce it but he certainly was no George W. Bush. You may remember his precision strike or more recently his first pitch during the 2001 World Series in Texas (below). Yankees third baseman Scott Brosius complimented GWB’s pitch saying, “He threw a strike, too. He’s got a good arm.” Dubya certainly enjoyed the experience and his pre-pitch thumbs up is in the picture at the bottom for good measure.
