Barack Obama may throw a baseball like a middle school girl, but at least he’s a sports fan. The POTUS was criticized for wearing “mom jeans” when he threw out the first pitch at the Major League Baseball All-Star Game. People would’ve been talking about something much different had the commissioner had his way. Bud Selig, genius and master coordinator of all-star games, tried to get Obama to wear a Cardinals jersey. As I hope many of you know, our President is from Illinois. I’m glad that Barack Obama made an executive decision here. However, Selig still makes 72 times more money than the most powerful man in the world.
Via Chicago Sun Times:
Cubs fans probably felt slighted when President Barack Obama decided to don a White Sox jacket when he threw out the first pitch at the All-Star Game.
But it could have been much worse.
In photos obtained by the ASC (Afternoon Sports Club), the Prez was supposed to wear a No. 44 St. Louis Cardinals jersey, handed to him by baseball commissioner Bud Selig.
