Kim Jones has reported on the YES pre-game show that the New York Yankees are doing what most other men do and gotten down with the fantasy football craze. Jones noted that Phil Hughes had the first pick and went with Purple Jesus (aka Adrian Peterson). Brian Bruney selected 2nd and chose Maurice Jones-Drew, Eric Hinske selected Carolina Panthers RB D’Angelo Williams 3rd and Hitting Coach Kevin Long stole Larry Fitzgerald at number 8. Other league members/picks have yet to be confirmed but we will definitely be on the lookout for the scoop. The Baltimore Restaurant Examiner reported that the Yankees were at ESPNZone in Baltimore last night in a private party room to hold their draft. Sounds like a good time.

The New York Yankees were at ESPN Zone Baltimore last night. They were in a private room so they can conduct their fantasy football draft and enjoy dinner and drinks. The team is in town for the series against the O’s that begins today.
The entire team was there — Jeter, A-Rod, Teixeira, Joba, etc.
