The Knicks won their first game of the season last night. Not that anybody as watching. It was an encouraging performance but who knows how long they’ll be able to keep it up.
Coach Mike D’Antoni opted for a smallish lineup with David Lee at center and Wilson Chandler at power forward. Larry Hughes even got the nod in the starting lineup and matched up against Chris Paul who dropped 32 points (18 in the 4th quarter) and 13 assists.
David Lee and Al Harrington both turned in monster performances. Lee went 13 for 17 and scored 28 points while Harrington had a career-high 42 points.
