Do not trade for Brandon Marshall. I repeat: do not trade for Brandon Marshall. The guy is an amazing football player but he’s a complete moron. When he’s not busy pissing off his employers, he’s usually getting into REAL trouble. He was arrested for assaulting a police officer in college. He’s been charged with battering/fighting multiple girlfriends. Javon Walker alleges that Darrent Williams’ killer was trying to retaliate against Marshall’s cousin when he open fired on their limousine. Marshall has also dabbled in DUI’s. Do the Jets really need that headache? Right now, the guy is holding the Broncos hostage while he’s UNDER CONTRACT. Though, that wouldn’t be a problem since part of the deal would likely include a hefty raise for Marshall. The main hold up in a deal for Marshall seems to be the Broncos’ demands for a first and third round pick. There are few NFL players who are worth that price tag. Brandon Marshall is NOT one of them.

According to someone with knowledge of the situation, the Jets are “intrigued” by the possibility of acquiring disgruntled Denver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall, but right now the price tag is too high.
The person requested anonymity because neither the Jets nor Broncos have publicly acknowledged talking about a trade involving Marshall.
Currently, Denver is said to want a first- and third-round pick for Marshall and the receiver wants a lucrative new contract on top of that. He is making $2.2 million this season.
