Mike Smith is the netminder for the lowly Tampa Bay Lightning. Smith hasn’t played in the regular season since suffering a concussion last year. He’s well on his way back but suffered a scare this week. On Tuesday, Smith was in goal when teammate Ryan Craig blocked a pass and slid skates-first into him. The blades wen directly into the “family jewels” area and Smith stayed down for an extended period. The Tampa goalie said that he wasn’t sure if he’d been cut or not. Luckily, all of his man parts are in tact. That’s good news for his skier girlfriend Brigitte Acton.
