This edition of Nuts & Bolts covers the NBA lottery picks on the town, a Romanian beauty queen, what Minka Kelly does when she’s not banging Jeter, T.O. on Superstars, tennis beauty Caroline Wozniacki, Matt Damon the rugby player, and the new NFL Apparel maternity line.
DRAFT PICKS HIT MANHATTAN… BUT CAN’T DRINK
Maybe Brandy can get her second NBA player tattoo (Quentin Richardson).

RICKY Rubio hasn’t even played his first NBA game yet, but the Spanish hoops star is already getting a taste of the good life. Sources say Armani dressed the 18-year-old player for Thursday night’s draft, where the Minnesota Timberwolves snagged the talented point guard as the team’s No. 5 pick. Afteward, financier Jonathan Blue, chairman of Best sports agency, took Rubio and other draftees Earl Clark and Jrue Holiday to Buddakan for dinner. “Ricky looked like a CEO himself,” our witness noted. Later, Rubio was spotted at M2 lounge on West 28th Street, where he was “sipping water and chatting with [R&B songstress] Brandy.” But Rubio’s fellow draft pick, Blake Griffin, left the club after bouncers told the 20-year-old he would not be served alcohol.

T.O. TO BE A SUPERSTAR AGAIN
Fake controversy = ratings.
Via ProFootballTalk:
T.O. and Joanna Krupa will be returning.
As this leaked video of the next episode illustrates, former tennis player Jennifer Capriati suffered an injury, which disqualified her team.
According to the long-established and judicially-vetted rules of The Superstars franchise, the last team to be disqualified returns.

DAMON IS RUGBY STAR
Quoting Damon from his last appearance as a rugby player in The Departed, “F*ckin’ fireman, quee-yahs.”
Via Names:
As you can see, Matt Damon has gone bleach blond to play rugby star Francois Pienaar (see below), the guy responsible for helping South Africa win the rugby World Cup in 1995.
The photo above was recently taken on the set of “Invictus,’’ Clint Eastwood’s film about the Cup, in which Morgan Freeman will play Nelson Mandela. According to Seth Rotherham, who originally posted this picture on his popular South African blog, Damon is well liked around Cape Town. “Friends of mine involved in the movie say Matt is a complete gentleman and has won over everyone,’’ Rotherham told us.

ELISABETH HASSELBECK LAUNCHES NFL MATERNITY LINE
You know… for the woman that wants to wear NFL apparel during the months of pregnancy that she can’t wear regular clothes. I feel like that’s the same kind of woman that boozes while pregnant.

Elisabeth, who is due with her third child on August 11, said that after wearing the shirts on set all day, “they have a great fit, they are super soft and nice and long so you can easily wear them over your workout pants.”
