Rex Ryan and the Jets enjoyed an afternoon of near-perfect execution on both offense and defense. After trailing 7-0 at halftime, the Jets had a 17-10 lead going into the final few minutes of the game. The Chargers made it close but couldn’t overcome the deficit. Nate Kaeding managed to miss three field goals on the day. Shonn Greene went for 128 yards including the 53-yard scamper pictured above. [NYDN]
RANGERS 6 CANADIENS 2
Scott Gomez made his not-so-triumphant return to Madison Square Garden last night. The Rangers ended a three-game losing streak by downing the Canadiens 6-2. Ryan Callahan had four points including one even strength and one power play goal. Brandon Dubinsky and Marian Gaborik both tallied three points in the win. [AP]
