This ball boy must be a little crazy. The young man made the audacious decision to taunt German goalie Jens Lehmann. That’s no small feat considering Lehmann’s historical lack of self-control. The man known as “Mad Jens” has kicked opposing players, snatched the headband off of his own teammate in rage, and has even stolen the shoe of an opposing player.
As you can see in the video, the hilarious ball boy pretends he’s going to hand Lehmann the ball. Then just as Lehman is about to grab it, he tosses it in the air out of reach. The incident probably occurred near the end of the game since Lehmann seems to be in a rush. After the game, Lehmann accused the 14-year-old ball boy of “cheating.”
