Everybody can agree that the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue is a genius concept. The ESPN the Magazine Body Issue is a different story. In the issue that hits the stands October 9, 30 male and female athletes will show off their nude or semi-nude bodies. Athletes include Carl Edwards, Adrian Peterson, Jessica Mendoza, and Clair Bevilacqua.
ESPN also says that individuals from the NFL, Major League Baseball, NBA, NHL, NASCAR, LPGA and UFC will appear in the issue. I’m guessing that a Disney-backed “body issue” is not going to be that exciting. Based on the picture above, it seems like ESPN just wants to cash in on shirtless dudes. I would be shocked if Terrell Owens wasn’t in on that action.
