Alex Rodriguez is enjoying his free time before spring training. Page Six reports that A-Rod has been seeing a handful of different women. And yes, one of them is Madonna.

Alex might even be enjoying single life a little bit too much. I didn’t know that was possible, but here’s how Page Six describes A-Rod’s past couple weeks:

“He has been seeing a petite brunette from New York,” the source said. “While he was in the city, he had a private meeting with Madonna at his home. They have stayed in touch and text each other all the time.

“He has also been hanging around with the girls from Wilhelmina Models in Miami. He picked out a curvy blonde from their books and took her to the Bahamas for a charity event two weeks ago. And he was pretty pleased with himself to be dating two girls in one day last Saturday.”

So basically, A-Rod has a harem of models around him plus Madonna in New York plus the girl he met at the gym. Oh yeah, and tack on whatever tail he finds in Tampa next month. It’s funny how the guy stops boning strippers and hookers once he’s no longer married.  Good thing he didn’t need that second offseason hip surgery…

KATE HUDSON HITS TALK SHOWS, SPLITS WITH A-ROD?

BigLeagueScrew probably has more Kate Hudson news than we’d like to admit. But hey, she likes to keep herself in the public eye. So it’s easy. In the past week, Kate has been up to her old tricks appearing on a number of talk shows.

Last week, Kate took the time to visit with Regis and Kelly (pictured above). I guess Regis was out because I have no idea who that scrub on his stool is. K-Hud is hoping to revive her career with her upcoming role in the musical Nine. She plays Stephanie in the movie and apparently she sings in the movie. On Monday night, Hudson appeared on Jimmy Fallon to push her new movie. You can download the clip from RapidShare here. Other than discussing Nine, Fallon and Hudson played a game of beer pong. That video is embedded below:

K-Hud is set to appear on Oprah on Wednesday. I’m not sure if that ends her talk show blitz. But you have to wonder what her man has been up while she was away. The New York Post reports that A-Rod spent his weekend chatting up beautiful women in Miami:

Alex Rodriguez spent the weekend flirting with a string of beautiful girls in Miami — telling one, “I’m definitely single,” sources tell Page Six.

The Yankee slugger was “acting like a single man,” partying with two pretty girls at the W Hotel Friday before zeroing in on a blonde at the Armani Exchange Sunglass dinner at The Delano on Saturday.

It would be disappointing for Yankee fans if Hudson and Rodriguez broke up. She was an excellent good luck charm. Though, they truly were a match made in heaven. They hooked up, fed off of each other’s fame, and then both managed to get back to prominence. Not too shabby.

YANKEES TRIUMPH OVER CHRISTIAN MAN, PHILLIES

I hope you caught Pedro’s press conference the day before his start. The guy went on a rant with very little provocation. It was almost as if this was the final cathartic moment of his return to baseball.

Pedro was ready to deal when he took the mount on Thursday. Twitter was abuzz about his dominance until he finally gave up a solo shot to Mark Teixeira. Still, Yankee fans, the twitter universe, and the announcers had pretty much given Martinez the win. Too bad there was more game to be played. Pedro later yielded another solo homer to Hideki Matsui. With the score tied at one, Martinez got into trouble in the 7th inning when Hairston and Melky Cabrera started the inning with back-to-back singles.

Joe Girardi then replaced Jose Molina with Jorge Posada while Pedro was replaced by Chan Ho Park. Posada singled to put the Yankees up 3-1. After the seventh, Mariano Rivera came in to shut the door and the Yankees tied the series at one game apiece. Unfortunately, the umpires blew a couple of calls again — which is becoming a disturbing trend.

It was nice to see Mark Teixeira start hitting again. His power has been sorely missed during his mini-slump. Hideki Matsui continued his massive tear that started mid-summer (in July/August/September he hit .293/.281/.325 with 18 homers). Alex Rodriguez continues to be a non-factor in the World Series. However, we won’t get down on the guy. The guy came back (too) early from hip surgery and it wouldn’t be surprising if he’s finally dealing with fatigue.

World Series Phillies Yankees Baseball

Game 3 of the series is Saturday night in Philadelphia. You can bet that Citizen’s Bank Park will be rocking this weekend. There might even be a stabbing or two on Sunday since the Giants play the Eagles on Sunday Night Football at the same time as the Yankees play the Phillies in Game 4. The police better start charging their tasers now.

Just a reminder: Philadelphia has the least attractive people in America according to Travel & Leisure. Are we biased? Maybe. But Philadelphia residents also voted themselves second to last in attractiveness. Burn.

It’s a good thing that A-Rod is dating Kate Hudson. Because the Yankees slugger still has no friends. I’ve contended before that the two humans he has the closest connection to are Hudson and his manager Guy Oseary. Have you ever heard of him hanging out with “friends?” You know, other than Yuri Sucart.

Page Six in the New York Post has confirmed my theory once again. Last time around, Alex was hanging out in Chicago eating at the same restaurant as Derek Jeter. They didn’t sit together. Here’s how the Post described his dining experience:

ALEX Rodriguez and Hideki Matsui celebrated the Yankees clinching a trip to the World Series with a meal at Serafina — but not together. The two had separate tables at the restaurant on East 61st yesterday. A-Rod was joined by girlfriend Kate Hudson and others, while Matsui dined nearby with his own group. A spy reports, “They all arrived at the same time but took separate tables. Everybody seemed to be in excellent spirits.”

Yes, it seems as if A-Rod is “friendly” with teammates including Mark Teixeira, Nick Swisher, Robinson Cano, and Melky Cabrera. But the dude is clearly a misanthrope. You know it’s bad when Derek Jeter has to give you attention just to stroke your fragile ego.

BOMBERS BUST HALOS, ADVANCE TO WORLD SERIES

The Yankees won Game 6 of the ALCS to move onto the World Series.  But you didn’t have to watch the game to know the outcome.  Our buddies at TheMikeFrancesa.com alerted us that MLB.com was selling Yankees ALCS Championship gear hours before the game had even started.

Conspiracy theories aside, the Yankees showed why they belonged in the World Series last night.  The Yankees got a high-quality effort from Andy Pettitte who went 6.1 innings and only allowed one earned run.  Joba Chamberlain relieved Pettitte in the 7th and got two outs with an inherited runner on base.  Then Mariano Rivera shut the door by pitching two innings and allowing one run. The Yankees had scored three runs with a Damon 2 RBI single and A-Rod bases loaded walk in the fourth inning and never let the Angels match them.

The Bronx Bombers were clearly emotional after the victory.  For some, it was a return to the prominence that had seemed so common about a decade ago.  For others, the experience of playing in the World Series will be an entirely new experience.  Jeter seemed to be more caught up in the moment than usual and called Ken Rosenthal out for glossing over the fact that they’d just won the ALCS.  Alex Rodriguez sounded equally jubilant, relieved, and overwhelmed by the task that lies ahead.  Hilariously, he wanted to “thank the Lord, first of all.”  Is that a Kate Hudson thing or a post-steroids A-Rod thing?

The Yankees face the Phillies at home on Wednesday in what may be a clash of former Cleveland Indian aces.  It’s likely that CC Sabathia will face newly-acquired Cliff Lee in the opener.  The series should be very close since the Phillies seem to be firing on all cylinders.  It would be safe to pick either team in six or seven games.  However, I’m going to say Yankees in five games.   If we’re lucky, we’ll get another chance to see Derek Jeter dump champagne on Jennifer Steinbrenner. It’s amazing how he does it in such a “you know you love it” kind of way.

Kate Hudson popped up in yet another set of paparazzi photos. Again, she was “returning from a workout session.” It’s unclear whether these shots are from — but they may be from a couple of years ago.

She wore a pink top this time around when she hammed it up for the photographers. Her belly chain that was around her waist last time around was nowhere to be seen. Why does it always seem like she’s taking really long walks to her car in workout gear when paparazzi photograph her?

GIRARDI GETS BURNED, YANKEES DROP GAME THREE

It’s hard to complain about the Yankees considering how well they’ve played. But the Yankees may have lost game three in Anaheim due to Joe Girardi’s mismanagement.

In the 8th inning, the Yankees were down a run when Hideki Matsui walked. Joe Girardi replaced him with Brett Gardner who was subsequently caught stealing on a Kevin Jespen pitch out. Jorge Posada was the next batter and hit the Yankees’ 4th solo homer of the night to tie the game. Had Gardner been on base, the Yankees would have gone into the final frame with a one-run lead.

The next seemingly wrong decision came in the bottom of the 11th inning. David Robertson came on in relief of Mariano Rivera and retired the first two batters of the inning. Then Girardi decided to pull Robertson for Alfredo Aceves who gave up a single to Howie Kendrick followed by a game-winning double by Jeff Mathis.

With two game-changing late-inning choices that burned him, Girardi didn’t have much to say about the game. Here’s a summary of his comments via The LoHud Yankees Blog:

Joe Girardi’s postgame press conference lasted about three minutes, and his explanation for taking out Dave Robertson and bringing in Alfredo Aceves was that the Yankees “liked the match-up better.” Asked to elaborate on that since Howie Kendrick was 1-for-2 lifetime against Robertson and had never faced Aceves, Girardi declined. Pitching coach Dave Eiland did the same. As you know, Kendrick singled and Jeff Mathis brought him home with the winning run moments later.

However, the performance wasn’t all bad. Alex Rodriguez continued his hot hitting and now has four homers and nine RBI in six playoff games. The Yankees also flashed their incredible comeback ability when Jorge Posada tied the game in the eighth. While the pitching wasn’t stellar, Andy Pettitte had a solid outing. Mariano Rivera also did an amazing high-wire act by getting out of the 10th inning that started with a lead off double.

GALLERY: KATE HUDSON HAMS IT UP IN LA LA LAND

As long as Alex Rodriguez keeps hitting, I’m fine with Kate Hudson’s incessant fame-whoring. Though, it is pretty annoying that she’s more famous for being A-Rod’s girlfriend than her “career” and is constantly photographed by paparazzi. The last five movies she’s appeared in are The Skeleton Key, You, Me and Dupree, Fool’s Gold, My Best Friend’s Girl, and Bride Wars. Yeah. That’s a Shannon Elizabeth-like career trajectory.

The actress was spotted on Sunday morning coming back from a workout session at YAS Fitness Center. She did look quite fit. But why the hell is she wearing a belly chain (which hilariously has a cross on it) to work out?

How much do you want to bet that we’ll see pictures of her and Alex hitting L.A. later this week? If Alex Rodriguez is wearing his cool guy bomber jacket, somebody owes me a Coke.

YANKEES BURY TWINS, BATHE IN BOOZE

The Yankees had pie after game two but they got to bust out the bubbly with a series-clinching win against the Twins. They celebrated in a similar manner after they downed the Sox to clinch the AL East last month.

The Twins only got to play one game in the Metrodome which marked the last game in the building. Minnesota was winning the game after the 6th with a strong pitching performance from Carl Pavano (you can read his pre-game quotes here) and an RBI single from Joe Mauer. The next inning Alex Rodriguez destroyed an opposite field bomb and Jorge Posada later homered to put the Yankees up for good. Expect to continue to hear that “Alex Rodirguez finally delivered” every game he gets an RBI for the rest of the year.

ALDS Yankees Twins Baseball

With the Yankees’ sweep, the Bombers got another chance to taste victory. The team enjoyed celebratory showers in a combination of champagne and Budweiser. Mark Teixeira, Johnny Damon, and CC Sabathia appeared to be the only ones rocking goggles this time around.

You can bet that the Yankees players will be boozing it up like champions tonight since they don’t play again until Friday. We rounded up more of the celebration pictures in the gallery below. Highlights include: Swisher single-fisting a beer and a champagne bottle, Phil Hughes spraying CC Sabathia, Jerry Hairston Jr. dumping bubbly directly onto ARod’s head, and a photo of Alex Rodriguez and Robinson Cano that I’ll probably be photoshopping soon. I think you can guess the one.

WHO WILL SIT WITH KATE HUDSON AT THE YANKEE GAME?

A.J. Burnett and Nick Blackburn take the hill this evening in the ALDS Game 2. But everybody will really be watching to see who Kate Hudson is sitting with.

Hudson has been spotted at many Yankees games this year since hooking up with Alex Rodriguez. During the Yankees last game, Kate Hudson was sitting right next to Jay-Z. I have no idea if they were together, but I wouldn’t doubt it.

ALDS Twins Yankees Baseball

K-Hud has appeared in the Legends seats at Yankee Stadium many times this season — sometimes solo. But she also has cozied up with her family (including Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn). She’s also been seen with the Yankee wife power duo of Amber Sabathia and Michelle Damon.

One can only wonder if Ms. Hudson will try to outdo herself in what could be potentially the last home game for the Yankees in this series. I have the sneaking suspsicion that she’ll be hanging with A-Rod’s manager Guy Oseary tonight. But I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s another person that will get her on the front page of the tabloids. I wonder if she’ll turn into the baseball version of Elisha Cuthbert if Alex dumps her. Oh wait, that’s Alyssa Milano. You can see the full gallery of K-Hud and her chums after the jump.
