ANNA KOURNIKOVA’S STILL GOT IT

SPL113247_001

With the US Open done, we can get back to focus on the important things in the tennis world. Like Anna Kournikova. The former tennis player lives in Miami and was spotted a couple weeks ago heading to the gym. Apparently, people were bashing Anna K for recently having put on weight. But in these shots, she looks like she’s regained her mojo. There are three more pics of the model slash tennis player after the jump.

ANNA KOURNIKOVA PLAYS NICE WITH K-SWISS (UPDATE)

As we mentioned yesterday, Anna Kournikova appeared at a K-Swiss event this week. The party was at Skyline Gallery in New York CIty and the Russian bombshell showed up in a little black dress. No Enrique Iglesiases were spotted on the premises. She seems like she’s been around forever but she’s only 28. Hopefully, she will come to her senses and drops her tool boyfriend at some point.

ANNA KOURNIKOVA GETS SOME WORK

Anna K is done with tennis but she’s still getting endorsement deals. Kournikova was at the K-Swiss Spring/Summer 2010 Fashion Show in New York tonight. We couldn’t really get any good shots of Anna, but will update if/when we find any. Below is our one pic of Anna and a few of the other models from the show.

KOURNIKOVA & HINGIS DOUBLE YOUR PLEASURE

As you may know, attractive female Anna Kournikova was a tennis player once upon a time. She stunk it up in singles competitions but she was actually much better in doubles. The success may be attributed to having Martina Hingis as a partner. The duo teamed up to win the 1999 Australian Open, 1999 French Open, and 2002 Australian Open. The wins in 1999 are considered the “Grand Slam” of women’s doubles and they were ranked #1 to close the year. Unfortunately, we haven’t seen much of either woman lately. Anna Kournikova just isn’t very good at tennis and Hingis had her career derailed by a cocaine ban. For your viewing pleasure, we’ve rounded up a massive collection of the two beauties in action that will help you re-live the good ol’ days. The entire gallery is after the jump.

WHITLOCK WHIFFS WITH ERIN ANDREWS COMMENTARY

Predictably, Jason Whitlock has offered up his take on the Erin Andrews fiasco. I don’t like Jason Whitlock. I actually think he’s a gifted writer, but he’s just a pot-stirrer. It bothers me to no end that such a controversial-for-the-sake-of-controversy personality can be considered legitimate. Whitlock carefully crafts an image that he’s a level-headed champion of truth, scrawling late into the night in his notebook of superior reason. However, the picture of Jason Whitlock is more likely to resemble an obsessive blog-refresher in a coffee shop that giggles while typing and manhandling pastries. Clearly, he’s a f*cking softy masquerading as a man with a big… pen.

His piece talks about the Erin Andrews incident for MAYBE 200 words — and it even has a photoshopped picture (Dan Levy destroys Whitlock for this) of Whitlock looking through a keyhole at Andrews. However, Whitlock manages to take a sharp right turn and go on an anti-blog, race baiting tirade that finishes with a love tap to ESPN’s jaw. Initially, he chooses to excoriate Deadspin contributors AJ Daulerio and Will Leitch. This quickly breaks down into Whitlock chastising the site for a Stuart Scott post they made TWO AND A HALF YEARS AGO.
