WARRANT ISSUED FOR CYCLIST/HACKER FLOYD LANDIS

French people hate American cyclists. Floyd Landis is no exception. The French have been trying to bury this guy for years. Now, a French judge has issued an arrest warrant for Landis.

Landis was summoned by a judge named Thomas Cassuto from the Tribunal de Grande Instance of Nanterre. Cassuto believed that Landis tried to hack into a doping agency to prove the tests on his samples were wrong. Pierre Bordry, the head of the French anti-doping agency, had this to say:

“It seems that (Landis) made all he could to enter into our computer system to try to prove the laboratory was wrong. He showed many documents he got by hacking to numerous sporting instances. The judge traced a network of hackers back to the ringleader.”

The doping agency said that the hacking occurred in September of 2006. The tribunal judge issued the warrant for Landis’ arrest on January 28th.

EVEN GOLFERS ARE ON STEROIDS NOW

Doug Barron earned a dubious distinction today. The man with no Wikipedia page became the first golfer to be suspended for violating the PGA Tour’s anti-doping policy.

Barron is suspended for one year from the date which he failed the test. It’s unclear when the failed the test or what substance triggered the failed test. The PGA Tour said they will not comment further on the situation. Here’s what Barron had to say:

“I would like to apologize for any negative perception of the tour or its players resulting from my suspension. I want my fellow tour members and the fans to know that I did not intend to gain an unfair competitive advantage or enhance my performance while on tour.”

Mr. Barron is 40 years old and isn’t really a factor on the PGA Tour. He missed the cut at the St. Jude Classic in June and that was his only start of the season.
