We may have “dogged” (see what I did there?) Mark Sanchez for eating a hot dog on the sideline. But if you read this blog, you know we’re huge fans of the rookie quarterback.
Well, one of our readers didn’t feel we were addressing the hot dog situation correctly. In fact, he thought we shouldn’t have posted about the incident at all. The reader who calls himself JG says that anybody that “doesn’t like what he did is retarted.” Yes, he really said “retarted.” Here’s a screengrab of the lovely email:
So I’m sure you can understand that we’re taking this threat very seriously. We don’t want to anger our readers and we certainly don’t want to seem “retarted.” It would also be a shame for JG to approach the CEO of The Internet and lobby him to shut this site down.
We’ll be adjusting our coverage of Sanchez so it’s even more favorable before. Clearly, it’s not worth risking getting fired from this blog or having it shut down. We apologize, JG.
