How do you become cool enough to wear sunglasses indoors? Apparently Reggie Bush knows the answer to that question. The former USC running back may also have the answer to another yet unanswered question. Why was he supposedly banned from the Playboy Mansion?
In April 2007, Scott Wolf posted that Reggie Bush had been banned from the Playboy Mansion for a conduct violation. The only other tidbit of information was that it the infraction didn’t involve a Playmate. So how could Bush get himself banned from Hef’s house? Sam Alipour of Page 2 put forth a couple of theories:
If his alleged sordid conduct did not involve a Playmate, then it likely could mean only that he committed one or both of the following acts: A) either Mr. Bush fondled the wait staff or B) Mr. Bush fondled Hefner. We doubt he’s capable of either.
He may be right. But sleeping with one of Hef’s girlfriends might also do the trick. Keep in mind that the original Girls Next Door were NOT Playmates at any point — though the new ones are. On top of that, Mr. Hefner hasn’t had a very good track record with reality show girlfriends. All three of the original Girls Next Door ended up finding new men before they moved out. More recently, his two twin “girlfriends” were booted from the Mansion. The rumor is that their sleeping around became a bit too obvious.
As a former Playboy employee, I was privy to tons of rumors. Whether or not Bush was banned from the Playboy Mansion, I have no idea. It was never discussed internally and it may very well be fiction. The Mansion operates on its own and is essentially separate from the rest of Playboy’s business operations. But there was another big rumor floating around Playboy a few years ago that involved Mr. Bush. After the 2007 Super Bowl in Miami, there was a buzz that Bush had hooked up with Hef’s youngest girlfriend, Kendra Wilkinson.

While I don’t have a source that heard this directly from Kendra or Bush, I have reason to believe it’s true. The alleged hook up was discussed by a number of Playboy staffers at the time. Additionally, Playmates themselves were involved in spreading the rumor of the alleged tryst.
To me, the pieces of the story all seem to fit. Back in 2007, The Girls Next Door had just completed its second season which received very good ratings. There’s no way that Playboy would let the information about Kendra cheating on Hef get out. Hence the evasive language in the alleged ban. Let’s not forget that Kendra ended up having the highly-publicized relationship while she was still in the Mansion. And it’s no secret that Kendra loves athletes — specifically NFL players.
Shortly after Bush was reported to be banned from the Mansion, he started dating Kim Kardashian. They’ve been together since then with a temporary break up in the middle. It’s even rumored that Bush will propose to Kardashian if New Orleans wins on Sunday. So Prince may not be the only one rooting against the Saints. Because if Bush gets hitched, it will seriously cut into his time to hook up with Playboy centerfolds and Miami models.
