BOTTLE, TERROR STRIKE OREGON CHEERLEADER

katelynn_johnson_MG_3408_web

Tragedy struck in Tucson on Saturday night. One of Oregon’s beautiful cheerleaders was struck in the head by a bottle. If you didn’t know, ESPN polled college football and college basketball players and Oregon was voted “best cheerleaders” in both. And I doubt it was for their routines.

Katelynn Johnson was cheering her heart out when she a bottle smacked her in the head. Johnson had to be carted off after the incident. She had a concussion and even went to the hospital. Spectators allegedly threw bottles and other projectiles at the women.

You can check out more pictures of Katelynn on SPORTSbyBROOKS or the other gals at the Sports Illustrated Cheerleader of the Week here, here, here, here, here, here, and here.  Go Ducks!

OREGON’S BLOUNT IS A ONE-HIT WONDER

Is LaGarrette Blount an idiot? Yes. Does he deserve to be kicked off of the Oregon football team? No. Blount made news last night for semi-sucker punching a Boise State player. I think Blount is being made out to be more of a monster than he really is. After Oregon lost to Boise State, Byron Hout of Boise State decided to get in Blount’s face and talk trash. About a second later, the Oregon running back nailed Hout on the button and dropped him. This is NOT a sucker punch. Hout had clearly engaged Blount and was facing him before his coach grabbed his shoulder. It’s not Blount’s fault that this happened in a split second. Personally, I think Hout is just as responsible for this happening as Blount. Blount simply reacted to unnecessary taunting. Plus, he should get points for such a perfect punch. As for Byron Hout, he should feel like the little bitch that he is.  Talk about your all time backfires.
