The Curious Case of Potential Plagiarism

I know how people feel about my writing. It’s occasionally palatable but mostly disappointing. It’s comparable to pulling the trigger on the beauty-impaired, large-breasted floozy who’s still around (and alone) near last call. Much like bedding a chesty brown-bagger, my words are fleetingly enjoyable, usually regrettable, and certainly are not a source of pride. But hey, that’s better than nothing, right?  So you can imagine my surprise when I saw that a blogger had seemingly hijacked my mediocre prose.

Steve Lepore explains what his blog, PuckTheMedia, is about. But who watches the watchmen, Steve???

The first time I had heard of PuckTheMedia was a few weeks ago. I decided to check out the PuckDaddy (Yahoo’s NHL blog) liveblog for the Red Wings/Penguins game that night. After making a few comments of relatively low value, my parade was promptly rained on. That’s when “Steve Lepore” harshly dismissed my attempt to make a joke about Mike Emrick’s penchant for repetition.

Ain’t No Party Like An NHL Party

The NHL Awards were last night in Las Vegas. I’m sure your reaction falls into one of two categories: don’t care or didn’t know. That’s because the NHL is a poorly run entertainment business. Alexander Ovechkin won his second consecutive Hart Trophy (League MVP). Much to Gary Bettman’s dismay, the hard-living Ovechkin is the best hockey player in the world. Watching him, it’s obvious that he is one of the most dangerous players to ever touch the ice (post on that to come later this month). I couldn’t find many pictures from the events because the NHL is absolutely horrible at PR.

In the picture below, Alexander the Great is pictured with two showgirls. Not pictured are the six hookers getting drunk on champagne in his limo that’s waiting outside. I’ve made two blog posts today and mentioned hookers twice. I’m batting 1.000, baby. Also, my two blogs posts have been about the NHL. For that, I apologize.
