Ron Wilson thinks violence in the answer. His head coaching certainly hasn’t done much to inspire the Maple Leafs. They’ve amassed just one point in their first 7 games — and that point came in an overtime loss. Here’s what the Toronto head coach had to say after a recent practice:
“They have to get really mad within to bust out of this. I see it coming. It wouldn’t shock me if before the end of the week, we may have a fight or two in practice which I think would be a good kind of a elixir for us to show that we’re getting angry that we haven’t won a game up to this point.”
And if fighting isn’t the magical elixir, maybe he can pick up some magical beans. The Maple Leafs are a really, really, really bad on-ice product. Unfortunately for Torontonians, the Leafs have an astronomical average ticket price of $117.49 (USD) which is over $45 more than the second-most expensive average ticket. Ripoff, eh?
