The San Diego DA’s office has stated that they will not seek charges against Shawne Merriman for allegedly battering Tila Tequila. However, that hasn’t stopped the MTV “star” from continuing the PR battle. Tequila, whose real last name is Nguyen, released a set of photos to TMZ that allegedly show bruising caused by Merriman. It’s kind of hard to believe that this is legit. When were the pictures taken? The medical examiners, knowing that they were responding to a domestic violence call, were not able to spot the early signs of bruising? And why release the pictures now? It all seems a little hard to believe.

TMZ has obtained these photos of Tila Tequila taken the day after her alleged run-in with Shawne Merriman — and it’s obvious by the bruises, Tila had a rough night.
Tila claims she was “choked and physically restrained” by Merriman after she tried to leave his residence. Merriman says he was trying to keep a drunk Tequila from getting on the road.
The San Diego D.A. announced yesterday it would not prosecute Merriman due to insufficient evidence.
